Dear fellow alumni,
The BAS Alumni Association and BASD members conducted the official opening of the Alumni Courtyard the afternoon of November 12, 2013 at the High School. All were invited, and in spite of the weather we had a decent turnout for our Ribbon Cutting ceremony. I am pleased to report to you that the order for alumni engraved bricks are continuing to flow in with over 100 bricks installed and our memorial courtyard is growing.
I have been with the BAS Alumni organization for a number of years and I am pleased to report that we now have a strong quid pro quo with the BASD Superintendent, school board, faculty and students. This relationship is stronger, currently, than it has ever been since my tenure with the organization, and I wish to public thank Dr. Savini et al for making the inauguration of the Courtyard such a success.
We especially extend a special gratitude to Linda Karol, BASD teacher who helped coordinate this event in conjunction with our board members. At the risk of being redundant, I submit our Board of Directors is comprised of quality individuals truly dedicated to our mission, cause and the community. It is an honor and privilege for me to work with them. The strides we are making today are unparalleled, and I publicly thank the entire board. If you wish to become a board member and/or member of one of our committees please don't fail to contact me or Lenora and assist us in meeting the goals and objectives of our alumni association.
If you haven't done so yet, ordering an engraved brick is a wonderful way to support our school and organization. Also, many bricks are being ordered to memorialize loved ones. I, for one, have done both and am proud to have my name and those of my loved ones in the courtyard in perpetuity. If you haven't done so, please order a brick from out BAS Brick website, or download an order form from this blog and/or BAS FB club, or by contacting me or any of the board members.

Thank you for your continued support of our alma mater and the young adults currently receiving their education at the high school.
