35. Hi Lenora! I was happy to hear about your book. I guess I have to wait a little until I can get it in Germany. Cheers, Lucy Vences

37. I want one of your books (autographed of course) and will follow thru as soon as I get back to AZ. I'm so proud of you. I checked out the website and am really excited about reading it all. El Engebretson (Inky)
38. Glad to hear that you’ve completed your book. After I purchase my copy maybe I can send it to you so you can autograph it for me. Lillie Battle

40. Negative response: For a "review" of sorts, I read the excerpt (in your ad) and find it to be offensive and racial. I agree that it was difficult being a WOMAN in a MAN'S army but I saw far less "prejudice" in the Army towards "black folks" than I did in civilian life. I also feel that a good part of the "prejudice" felt by "black folks" is because of their own attitude and prejudices toward "white folks". (My response to the sender: “ Sorry you feel that way!”)
41. Hi Ma'am, I was the Unit Clerk for Apple Alpha across the street when you were the Co C Commander and 1SG Rinke was the 1SG. MAJ Margaret Murray was my Commander at the time. I retired from the Army May 1992 and retired (took early SS) from Civil Service in July 2005. I'll check out your book. Thanks for the WAC Shack website. By the way, what is Heritage Chapter #62??? I think I've heard of the same name thru the American Legion Adjutant Post #059 here in San Antonio. Take care. Jean (Gloria) Holder
(NOTE: One of the officers/members from the WAC Army Veteran’s Association, Heritage Chapter #62, Fort, McClellan, AL may want to make a comment in this posting about what the chapter offers so other interested parties may decide to join! Not everyone knows that there are approximately 31 WAC Vet Chapters spread across the United States. Any chapter may submit their "plug" for members in this blog and WAC Shack website.)
42. Good Site Lee. Lots of work - Ordered your book. I have also published with Xlibris. My book will be coming out soon too! I think my goal is I just wanted to write a book, and so I did. It is a novel, drawing from my experience in the Military - The title is Fields of Fire. I imagine it will be out sometime in the fall. Again good luck on your book. I enjoyed reading the chapter online. Look forward to getting the book. Good luck on the site and on the promotion of your book. Best Wishes, Carol Ogg
(NOTE: More info on Carol’s book can be found at the WAC Shack website forum and the WAC Shack blog).
