Classmates, this is getting to be scary: 4 classmates in 2 weeks. Received message from Vera Lou Duirgon (60) this morning about the passing of Richard. In a message dated 9/13/2006 7:19:07 AM Eastern Daylight Time, bvmatlanta@earthlink.net writes:
Ave Maria! All the members of the Mission of the Immaculate Mediatrix (MIM) Rosary Group, F.I.; Alliance of the Two Hearts. Click to view their website!
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Guesman, beloved husband of Diane Guesman, promoters of the Alliance of the Two Hearts Family International. Richard died peacefully at home yesterday (Sep 12, 2006), evening at 5:30 p.m. on Riverside Drive, on the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary, after a long and painful battle with cancer which began with prostate cancer. Father Michael S. Sherliza, St. Andrew's Church, was present and administered the Last Sacraments.
We send our dearest love and prayers to Diane and their beloved daughter, Deanna. We are blessed for the presence of Richard and Diane and for the leadership, great work and support Dick gave to the Alliance of the Two Hearts Family International both here in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and Internationally; and for his work for the Church in the Diocese of Atlanta, Ga., much of which was hidden.
Also for all of us who knew him - for his great love of the Church and for everyone that he met and whose lives he touched. For his down to earth approach, his wit and great sense of humor and example to all of us as he and Diane offered their pain and suffering for the Church, for our beloved priests, for each and everyone, during their agony with his illness. In the love of the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary we give thanks for the gift of these beautiful people in our lives.
Our deepest condolences to the Guesman family from BHS classmates. May Richard rest in peace.
Tomorrow is NOT promised classmates!
